82. Wishes for a Light Winter’s Noon

Went to see an old friend today and his wife and two kids. And get some of their clothes for Jay. And a bed.

A fine little bed, for our boy.

That was a light, moving winter’s noon – in good company, before going on to a family occasion. More good company, but different.

My friend is very learned but also very down-to-earth, especially around his kids. And his wife is a very strong, caring woman.

I wish I would find excuses to see them more often than when we have kids ourselves.

I wish I did not think about any excuses for seeing any fine friends more often.
